Photojournalism as Advocacy with Leslie Thomas

Interested in developing your voice as a photojournalist? Want to do more with your photography? Join us on Tuesday, July 7 at 15:00 CEST at The VII Foundation’s campus for an intense small group workshop led by Leslie Thomas, documentary filmmaker, curator and human rights activist.

After a short presentation on leveraging photojournalism to make an impact on shaping policy on social justice issues, Leslie will work with you to help you design a unique impact and advocacy campaign on the issues that matter to you. 

Workshop Requirements

 To be considered, please submit: 

  • A brief (no more than one page) essay outlining: 

    • The issue you are addressing

    • The key stakeholders you are connected with 

    • The work you’ve done to date to make an impact (including challenges you are facing)  

  • Additionally, provide 5-10 images of the issue you have taken and/or up to 5 minutes of video footage (unedited and very rough is absolutely fine).
